Casalgrande Marmora Morato Wall & Floor Tiles

Morato sits in an interesting space in the Marmora collection - darker than Lunense and Palombino, but warmer and less dramatic than Nero Antico. The base tone is a rich, medium-dark grey with brown undertones, crossed with lighter veining that gives the surface a quiet complexity. It's the kind of tile that rewards a second look, and it tends to photograph beautifully, which is something worth knowing if you're working on a project where the finished space will be shared. Morato is a rectified porcelain stoneware tile, precision-cut for consistent edges and minimal grout lines - which makes a real difference with a colour this rich.

In a bathroom, Morato works well as a full-room tile where you want something moody and enveloping without going fully dark. It's also strong as a floor tile paired with lighter walls - the contrast brings the room to life without the floor feeling heavy. Kitchens are another natural home for it, particularly on larger floor formats where the mid-dark tone anchors the space without competing with the units.
