ABK Moooi Nesting Room

The Moooi Nesting Room is a collaboration between Dutch lifestyle brand Moooi and Italian porcelain tile manufacturer ABK, and it is one of the most distinctive tile collections to arrive on the market in recent years. Drawing inspiration from nature's quietest creatures - the Hypnotic Owl, the Reiki Rhea and the Cloistered Dove - the collection transforms organic forms and animal muses into tactile, architectural porcelain surfaces that bring genuine character to walls and floors.

The collection is made up of four ranges, each with its own personality. Sandy is the foundation of the collection, offering refined stone-effect porcelain tiles in six earthy colourways across multiple sizes, including large-format 120x280cm slabs. Egg Scape brings a terrazzo-inspired texture to a palette of soft neutrals, with the option of a dramatic 3DTECH Cloistered Dove relief variant. Decor Library is where the collection really shows its creative ambition, with 3DTECH relief tiles featuring the Hypnotic Owl, Pavone, Plumage and Passage patterns across both walls and floors. Finally, the Special Edition panels are large-format 120x280cm statement pieces designed exclusively for walls, featuring detailed bird illustrations and repeating geometric motifs that turn a wall into a genuine focal point.

All tiles in the Nesting Room collection are full-body rectified porcelain, made in Italy to ABK's exacting production standards. Most are suitable for both walls and floors, with slip resistance ratings that make them appropriate for wet areas. The 6mm Special Edition and Sandy 120x280cm slabs are designed for wall use only, while the 8.5mm formats across the range are dual-purpose. The collection is designed to be mixed and layered across the four ranges, with the plain Sandy and Egg Scape tiles acting as a calm foundation for the more decorative Decor Library and Special Edition pieces.
