Grespania Bierzo Perla Wall & Floor Tiles

Perla is the palest of the four Bierzo colours, a chalky off-white base scattered with small grey and sand-coloured fragments and the odd bright white chip. Grespania based the series on an Italian stone formed where limestone and sandstone worked their way into each other, and Perla is the version that tells that story quietly.

The surface isn't just printed. Grespania's 3D technology lines the relief up with the pattern, so the fragments you can see are ones you can feel underfoot, much like a weathered stone flag. Every size is 10mm thick and rectified, so the joints stay slim.

There are two finishes. Seda is smooth with a soft, silky sheen and carries a Class 1 slip rating, which suits kitchens, hallways and bathroom floors as well as walls. Anti-slip has a textured surface rated R11 and Class 3, made for shower floors, wet rooms and patios.

A pale stone in big formats is a good way to make a small room feel larger. Proof that a stone floor doesn't have to feel like a castle.
