Grespania Bierzo Marfil Wall & Floor Tiles

Picture an open-plan kitchen with oak cabinets and plenty of daylight. Bierzo Marfil was made for rooms like that: a warm ivory ground broken up by rust, honey and cream-coloured fragments, with the worn, slightly rough character of a stone that has been walked on for a century.

The look comes from an Italian stone where limestone and sandstone have mixed over time. Grespania has recreated it in porcelain with 3D relief that follows the pattern, so it has real texture while needing none of the sealing a natural stone floor would.

You can choose from three large rectified sizes, all 10mm thick. The Seda finish is smooth with a gentle sheen and a Class 1 slip rating for indoor floors and walls. The Anti-slip version is textured and rated R11 and Class 3, so the same colour can carry on into a shower, a wet room or out onto a patio.

A warm, flecked tile like this is also very forgiving with crumbs and muddy paw prints, which is more than can be said for plain cream.
