Jungla is Grespania's wood-effect porcelain, made as long rectified planks with the grain, knots and colour shifts of real timber. There's plenty of variation from one plank to the next, so a finished floor looks like boards that have been laid by hand rather than one image repeated. Being porcelain, it takes wet boots, spills and underfloor heating in its stride, with no sanding, oiling or sealing.
The five colours are named after the woods they're based on. Abeto is a pale cream fir, Cipres a honey-gold pine with small knots, Roble a weathered oak with a grey-brown tone, Iroko a warm mid-brown hardwood and Teca a deep coffee-brown teak.
Which plank size suits your room? Each colour comes in 26 x 160cm and 19.5 x 120cm, both in 10mm rectified porcelain. The wider, longer 26 x 160cm needs fewer joints across an open-plan floor, while the 19.5 x 120cm is easier to plan in a bathroom or hallway. Both have a natural matt finish (R10) for walls and indoor floors. The 19.5 x 120cm also comes in an R11 anti-slip finish for shower floors, wet rooms and outdoor areas, so the same wood look can carry on from an en-suite into a walk-in shower, or from the kitchen out onto the terrace.
Jungla is also made as Coverlam large-format porcelain slabs, including Coverlam Top for kitchen worktops, along with steps and skirting. They aren't listed here, but TABO orders directly from Grespania, so we can get them for you. For more wood-effect planks, take a look at Grespania Sherwood. The full Jungla range is in the Grespania series catalogues.
