Wenge by Omega Novus and Sheraton Kitchens

Wenge takes its name from the wood it's modelled on, a naturally dark, dense timber that's long been used for statement furniture. Omega's laminate version captures that same deep espresso tone and visible grain, without the cost or weight of the real hardwood.

It's a strong, moody colour rather than an everyday neutral, so it tends to work best as an accent, a kitchen island, a run of base units under a lighter wall colour, rather than covering every cabinet in the room. Omega's own photography shows it used exactly this way, paired with lighter stone and painted doors elsewhere in the kitchen.
