Sterling shares its construction with Manor House, a solid ash frame built around a veneered centre panel, but the frame here is noticeably narrower. That slimmer profile is what lets Sterling move between traditional and modern so easily: it's understated enough to sit quietly in either setting, and it's really the handles and worktop you pair it with that decide which way it leans.

Because the frame is solid ash rather than MDF, the smooth paint finish sits with a bit more depth than it would on a flatter door, which is worth knowing if you're choosing between Sterling and one of the flat slab options in the range.
