Flandes is Grespania's range of long 45 x 120cm ceramic wall tiles, built around one plain white tile and a set of decors to go with it. The white covers most of the room, while the decors bring movement and colour to a single wall, either as soft waves in relief or as large prints of leaves, flowers and branches. Every piece is white-body ceramic, 8mm thick, with rectified edges and a matt finish, so the decors line up with the plain tiles and the joints stay fine.
The plain tile is Flandes Blanco, a clean matt white. For texture without colour, Bruselas has tight rippling waves and Gante broader, sweeping curves. Both are moulded in white, so the pattern shows only as light and shadow.
The printed decors are where the range gets bolder. Charleroi has green monstera leaves and peach flowers on white, and Vital puts green and gold palm leaves on a deep green striped background. Calm and Diana are softer, with watercolour leaves in ochre, orange, teal and blue, while Indira has large rounded leaves in blue-grey and gold. Graze is the lightest, with fine branches in rust, blue and mauve on off-white.
How do you put Flandes together? In Grespania's photos, Gante or Vital runs along the wall behind a freestanding bath, Calm fills a walk-in shower, and Indira wraps around a round mirror above dark blue Surface Cobalto porcelain from Grespania Surface. Diana also appears in a living room, as a panel beside Grespania Malmo wood-slat tiles. The rooms use a few pieces we don't list here, such as Atrezo wall tiles, Selva wood-effect porcelain planks and the slim Lurex metal trims in gold, silver, black and garnet. TABO orders directly from Grespania, so we can get these for you. You'll find the full range in the Grespania series catalogues.
