This recently completed bathroom is a great example of what can be achieved with clear planning, good proportions and a few well-chosen finishes. The bathroom was designed by us at Tabo, with the installation carried out by Jamie at Great White Plumbing, and we are really happy with how it has turned out.
It is not a huge room, but nothing feels squeezed in. Everything has been thought through so the space works properly day to day, while still looking smart and considered.
Letting the tiles do the talking
The shower wall is very much the focal point here. We used Linear Mosaic Green glazed porcelain tiles, and they really lift the room without shouting for attention. The slim, vertical shape naturally draws the eye upwards, which helps the shower area feel taller, and the soft green colour adds interest without dominating the space.
To keep things balanced, the rest of the room uses larger, neutral tiles. This gives the mosaics space to stand out and stops the bathroom feeling busy.

A shower that feels open, not boxed in
The shower area has been designed to stay as open as possible. The Scudo Momentum sliding wetroom screen does exactly what it needs to do, without adding visual clutter. It keeps water contained while still allowing the room to feel light and airy.
We paired this with the Scudo Core shower in gunmetal, which adds a bit of contrast against the lighter tiles. The darker finish gives definition and ties in nicely with the other details, without becoming a feature for the sake of it.
The built-in niches are one of those small details that make a big difference. They keep toiletries off the floor and edges, and the subtle lighting adds warmth and a softer feel, especially in the evenings.
Clean, practical sanitaryware
On the opposite side of the room, the Cilantro rimless back-to-wall toilet by Bathrooms to Love keeps things neat and modern. It suits the proportions of the space really well, and the rimless design makes cleaning simpler – always something we consider when specifying products.
The basin sits neatly under the window, which makes the most of the natural light and helps keep the room feeling open. The layout flows naturally, with nothing awkwardly placed or squeezed in.

Thoughtful design, not overdesigned
What we like most about this bathroom is that it does not try too hard. Every element earns its place, and nothing feels like it has been added just because it is “on trend”. It is a bathroom that feels comfortable to use, easy to keep tidy and still looks good when everything is not styled for photos.
Working with installers
This bathroom was installed by Jamie at Great White Plumbing, whose attention to detail really shows in the finished result. We enjoy working with skilled installers who understand the importance of getting the details right and respecting the design.
We also work with our own highly qualified installers, so our clients never need to source their own unless they want to. Some people already have someone they trust, others would rather we handle everything – either way, we are happy to work around what suits you best.
