Soft, pale and a little bit Scandinavian, Smoked Oak has a greige tone (somewhere between grey and beige) with gentle knots and a washed-out grain. It's a great choice if you want a light floor that still feels warm, and it pairs beautifully with white walls, natural linen and pale timber furniture. The slim 18 x 122cm planks keep the look calm and uncluttered.
Under the surface it's SPC, short for stone plastic composite, a rigid core that keeps the planks stable when the heating comes on or the sun pours through the window. It's waterproof, protected by a 0.5mm wear layer and comes with the underlay already attached. The Välinge 5G fold-down joint locks each plank in with a single motion, often by one person working alone, and the floor can go over underfloor heating as long as the surface stays at 27°C or below.
