Tabo Galileo Light Grey Matt SPC Click Vinyl 23 x 122cm

Grey floors can go one of two ways: calm and airy, or a bit like a multi-storey car park. Galileo Light Grey sits firmly in the first camp. It's a pale, washed oak with soft knots and a gentle grain, and at 23 x 122cm the planks are long enough to give a room a relaxed, open feel with fewer joins across the floor.

Underneath the oak-effect surface is a rigid SPC core. SPC stands for stone plastic composite, and because it's made mostly from limestone powder, the planks stay stiff and stable rather than flexing like older vinyl. A 0.55mm wear layer and UV coating take care of scratches, stains and fading, and because it's waterproof, it's just as happy in a bathroom or kitchen as it is in the lounge.

Fitting is refreshingly simple. The i4F drop-lock system clicks together with no glue or nails, the underlay comes already attached, and it's suitable for underfloor heating up to a 27°C surface temperature.
