Casalgrande Pietra Tiburtina

The Pietra Tiburtina collection from Casalgrande Padana takes its inspiration from travertine, the sedimentary limestone that ancient Romans quarried near Tibur, the town now known as Tivoli, and used to build some of the most enduring structures in history. That same stone, reproduced here in porcelain stoneware, comes in four colours and three distinct surface versions, each one with its own character.

Vein, Cross and Anticata Cross aren't simply finish options in the way a polished or honed surface might be. They're genuinely different tiles. Vein is cut across the grain, bringing out fine, flowing striations. Cross is cut along it, giving a more irregular, cloud-like movement. Anticata Cross takes the Cross cut further, with an aged, open-pore surface that adds real texture and depth. Across all three, the four colours range from the pale, almost-white tones of Aventino and the warm ivory of Campidoglio, to the earthier Celio and the mother-of-pearl character of Palatino.

Casalgrande Padana has been producing porcelain stoneware in Italy since 1960, and the precision of their manufacturing comes through in this collection. All products are rectified for consistent edges and minimal grout lines, with sizes ranging from 30x60cm up to 120x278cm. A 20mm outdoor-rated format is also available in Grip finish for those wanting to extend the look outside.
