Soft Vinyl flooring is easy to install, with no maintenance required (unlike real wood) and it's even suitable for wet areas, so you can use it on any area of the home including kitchens and bathrooms. Vinyl can be laid over existing tiled floors and onto wooden floors. Vinyl is available in a wide range of designs and colours, wood effect and tile replicated designs, so if you don't fancy tiles or the maintenance of a solid wood floor, vinyl is the perfect choice!

It is essential that your floor is level when installing vinyl, as it's installed using a click system. If you are laying over wooden floor boards then you will need to overboard your floor boards first with ply, to make your floor solid and movement free. If you are laying over tiles then you may need to screed the floor using a leveling compound. All vinyl must be installed on top of an underlay. See our soft flooring installation kits for more information.

Vinyl is suited to areas with a regular temperature, so indoors in your home it's perfect. Unlike tiles, vinyl it's not advisable in conservatories where there can be vast temperature changes or outdoors.
